Skye

September 2011

As often is the case on Skye, fine weather was at a premium. The first five days of this trip were beset with unrelenting gales and frequent rain, some of it torrential. However, several windows of opportunity arose during the afternoons, when the sun appeared for an hour or two. Such conditions reveal the best of Skye—when the air is clear and the views are crisp and sharp.
