Sgurr Alasdair is the highest mountain on Skye. Access for the walker is through Coire Lagan and up the gash of the Great Stone Chute, still rimed by ice on this occasion. Though the clouds brushed the tops all day the ascent itself proved uneventful and Chris, Andrew and barry all gained the summit without difficulty.
