Fisherfield Forest

Scotland's 'Great Wilderness'

Nestling behind the ramparts of An Teallach and beyond the view of the casual observer, Fisherfield Forest is a walkers' paradise. Deep valleys and sparkling lochans are framed by six remote 'Munros' amongst magical scenery. Easiest access is from the Dundonnel road and along the Achnegie track. Many who visit the region make use of the open bothy at Sheneval (only up till the end of August on account of the deer stalking season); others backpack and tent nearby.
