Loanhead Recumbent Stone CircleDaviot, near InverurieLoanhead Recumbent Stone Circle at Daviot, a few miles from Inverurie in Aberdeenshire, is arguably the best example of its kind extant. Although the recumbent stone has split into two (long ago in historical times) and nowadays look like two separate stones, all eight circle stones remain upright. Beyond the circle lies the site of an ancient Cremation Cemetery. |
