The Ardèche River twists and turns through a sensational limestone gorge as it meanders between the towns of Vallon Pont d'Arc and St Martin d'Ardèche in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southwest France. The trip through the gorge, by canoe, involves negotiating over a dozen exciting white-water rapids, as well as paddling through the fantastic rock arch, Pont d'Arc.
