Balquhain Stone Circle

Near Inverurie, Aberdeenshire

Balquhain Stone Circle stands about two miles to the northwest of Inverurie, in a field on the side of a low hill, and can be seen from the A96. Only an arc of the original circle, consisting of four circle stones, remains. Additionally, a pointed 3.2 m tall outlier stands some 3.5 metres outside the circle. Access is from Balquhain Mains Cottages and along field margins (tractor tracks) to the stones.
